I think St. Anthony has been trying to catch my attention. I say this because I've been misplacing a lot of stuff, and recently have spent a lot of time looking for things around the house, which has been quite aggravating, and unusual for me. Then--the ultimate! I lost my car keys, which also had my house key on the same ring. This loss really caught my attention because it cost $235 for the car dealership to replace the key fob I lost, and to reprogram both car key fobs. Then I had to get the front door lock replaced--another $117! I had to replace the gas tank key, about another $25! Then, while waiting for the dealership to get the new car key fob and reprogram the both fobs, my lost fob was still out there somewhere, and if somebody had it, could just start my car and take it. So I had to buy one of the "Club" anti-theft car devices, another $48. After all this, and the losing things around the house I came across a video that said St. Anthony was the saint of finding lost things. And, thinking "out loud," I said I wish I had thought of him during the car key loss ordeal. After saying this thought, I again misplaced something around the house, aggravated. Again! Then I stopped and smiled, realizing I should ask St. Anthony to find it for me. I did, and found it in less than a minute. I think by losing all these things, St. Anthony has been trying to catch my attention. I read up on his interests, which include animals and a special interest in the Eucharist, and other issues, which apply to my life now.

Thank you Brother Ryan for the explanation of “the Little Way”. Once again we are reminded that love without action is meaningless. Saint Thérèse pray for us. The group of students who volunteer for Saint Joseph of Arimathea Society is impressive and warms my heart. I remember frequent visits as a child to the graves of my grandparents with my parents. As I got older I fell out of the practice, UNTIL my mother died, then I visited her grave, and subsequently my dad’s, and all the resting places in our family plot weekly. It’s probably something I miss the most, now that I live at a distance. My late brother always impressed on me the importance of always going to the burial, when attending a funeral service. May all the souls buried by these special be at eternal rest
